Google+ Photos Equipped To Pan And Zoom In High Res

Google+ have updated their photo service by adding a new pan and zoom function allowing users to delve into smaller areas of high resolution photos.

The social features of Google have been utilised by all sorts of artists and professional photographers in particular. Adding photos to the site is incredibly simple.

Users can then share the pictures with people in their Circles in order to get feedback on the illustrious shots that they’ve taken before opting to show the public.

When using the pan and zoom feature, a small box in the top left hand corner of the screen allows users to see where exactly on the image that you have zoomed into. This makes it easier to pan over different areas to see what you’d like.

Google employee Dave Cohen has said that:

“Google+ is full of amazing photos, and today we're introducing the ability to pan and zoom when viewing photos from your desktop. To give these features a try, simply open a large photo in the lightbox, then:
- use your mouse wheel to zoom in or out
- click and drag to pan right, left, up or down.”

An advanced feature for Google+ Photos, this feature can help those who may feel very passionate about the images that they are displaying. This extra detail could make the difference when it comes to portraying a company or business.

Google+ are likely to have a substantial year socially as this function begins to roll out to more products in the coming months. As more features are distributed, a better platform for sharing content will evolve.

Will you be taking advantage of the new zoom and pan feature of Google+ images?
