UFC Star Ronda Rousey Accepts Date Invite to Marine Corps Ball

In the video, L/Cpl Jarrod Haschert admits that the undefeated bantamweight
champion is his celebrity crush before asking her to accompany him to the
Marine Corps Ball in North Carolina.
He declares, ‘I love everything that you do and I think that
you are a phenomenal person.’
Last week, Ronda told TMZ reporters that now her upcoming
bout against Holly Holm has been moved forward from January to November, her
schedule is open to attend the ball on December 11. But Ronda admitted that she
wasn’t sure how to accept Haschert’s invitation: ‘Do I call him, or do I set up
a time and place like Never Been Kissed?’
She described the bashful marine as ‘cute,’ but warned that
he ‘had to be a gentleman.’
Jarrod was thrilled when TMZ broke the news to him on
Tuesday that Ronda had seen his video and accepted the invite. ‘Oh my god, no
way!’ he said. Ronda has only one catch – Jarrod has to find dates for three of
her friends. ‘I’m pretty sure I can do that!’ he told TMZ reporter Harvey Levin.
Kim Kardashian, Mila Kunis, and Justin Timberlake are among
the celebrities who have accepted date proposals for the Marine Corps Ball in
recent years.
Rousey said recently that she would like to lobby for the role of Captain Marvel in the upcoming film. The odds aren’t clear, but she’s
already a superhero in the octagon, so Jarrod had better watch out.
