Vine Versus Instagram Video (Infographic)
When Instagram released its video service last week, I pointed out in an article about the feature that, even though the update puts the Facebook-owned app into direct competition with Twitter-owned equivalent Vine, there are enough differences between the two applications for both to exist simultaneously. However, one app will eventually draw ahead of the other, becoming the go-to service for the majority of micro-vid sharers. Of course, it’s all a matter of opinion: there will be Instagram video quirks that die hard Vine fans can’t abide, but there will also be limitations to the Twitter affiliate that will have the frustrated flocking to Instagram. To work out which one is likely to lead the way, we’ve created an infographic weighing up the pros and cons of each app.
