Social Bakers May 2013 Report Reveals Top Brands On Facebook in UK
Social media analytics company Social Bakers has released a report revealing the top brands on Facebook for fans and engagement in the UK.
It is no surprise which Facebook brand pages have the most fans in the UK (to clarify, the Ben & Jerry’s at number 7 on the list is the UK page, while the one above is the US page):
Skittles, Coca-Cola and Cadbury Creme Egg are renowned for their active social media campaigning, campaigning which has clearly benefitted all three companies. Skittles, for example, ran the “Build The Rainbow” campaign earlier this year: a Facebook app that celebrated Skittles’ new logo.
The 5 brands who got the highest amount of post engagement are as follows:
Although most wouldn’t describe Tom Cleverley’s page as a brand, it is managed as such, with insights into the Manchester United player’s training schedule and images celebrating momentous occasions in his United and England playing career. The Canon UK page, meanwhile, is an example of a well run brand profile: the content is diverse and interesting, and readily invites fan engagement.

Although Twitter is more widely known as a forum for customer Q&As, Facebook can also support the same forum-like function.
The report also revealed the most popular posts on Facebook (unsurprisingly, both were photos), as well as which 10 media companies had the most fans.
