Vine, A Twitter Affiliate That Allows Users To Embed Short Videos Into Tweets, Is Coming Soon
Twitter CEO Dick Costolo has shown off his company’s recent acquisition, Vine, in a Tweet today by embedding a short episodic instructional video on how to make steak tartare.
Vine, which Twitter bought last fall, is an app which allows users to record and share short video clips. What differentiates Vine from it’s competitors is the ability to pause the recording and restart it by just depressing and pressing the record button.
Today, @dickc posted a tweet demonstrating the video sharing service. In the video, which is restricted by Vine’s six second limit, a chef prepares a steak tartare in nine clips, each lasting less than a second. The video also has sound.
This demonstrative Tweet undoubtedly heralds the upcoming release of Vine as a standalone app – available for purchase from Apple’s App Store – in the next few days.
Are you looking forward to the release of Vine?
