New Facebook Timeline Design Goes Live In NZ
A new off-centre Timeline design has been released to Facebook users in New Zealand, with added emphasis on wall posts and conversations between friends.
The Friends, Photos, Map and Likes boxes have been replaced by tabs, which replace the Timeline with About, Friends, Photos and More. The More tab, when opened, displays links to Maps, Music, Movies and other features.
Open Graph apps, such as Spotify, Instagram and Foursquare are also displayed in the More tab.
Facebook began testing the single column layout in October last year, but without the tabs between the cover photo and the columns.
A Facebook spokesperson has informed The Next Web that they have nothing more to tell the press at this moment, suggesting that the update won’t be seen outside of New Zealand any time soon.
What do you think of the single column layout?
